Sofie Salonika is a hybrid ensemble playing music from the Sephardic tradition, sung in Ladino and spiced with improvisation and original compositions. Musicians from the NYC jazz and world music scene delve into the roots of musical traditions from the Balkans, eastern Europe, and South America.
